Dr. Beljan has 25 years
of experience as a mental health clinician, providing psychotherapy
and assessment services for adults, adolescents and children.Dr.
Beljan is the past president of the American Board of Pediatric
Neuropsychology. He
also holds child and adult diplomate qualifications with the
American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology and the American Board
of Professional Neuropsychology.
Dr. Beljan completed his
doctoral degree in clinical psychology at the Wright State
University, School of Professional Psychology and doctoral
internship at the Oregon Health Sciences University, Child
Development and Rehabilitation Center after completing a Master’s of
Science degree in Education at the University of Dayton.
He completed a two year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric
Psychology and Pediatric Neuropsychology through the Michigan State
University, College of Human Medicine.
He also completed another two year Post-Doctoral Fellowship
in Pediatric Neuropsychology through the Fielding Institute.
Dr. Beljan is also a graduate of the Kettering Ohio Character
Disorders Institute with specialization in Object Relations and Self
Psychology theory.
Dr. Beljan’s
professional focus is on Gifted Intelligence, Alcohol/Drug Related
Neurodevelopmental Deficit (A/DRND), Learning Disorders, Traumatic
Brain Injury, and Executive Functioning Deficit and intervention. Dr.
Beljan also specializes in the pediatric psychology of pain
management. Dr. Beljan
is a nationally retained forensic neuropsychology expert and has
lectured internationally.
