Laura Beth Michon-Emerson, M.S., CCC-SLP/L, RYT

Laura Beth Michon-Emerson, M.S., CCC-SLP/L, RYT, is an American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certified, AZ Dept. of Health Licensed, medically and educationally trained forensic speech language pathologist with over 12 years’ worth of experience. She has worked as an Educational coach for over 8 years, specializing in developing educational programming for children and adults with executive function and other learning disabilities.

Laura’s continued dedication to her clients and to learning is evidenced by her having been thrice awarded ASHA’s ACE (Award for Continuing Education). She is a doctoral candidate pursuing a degree in Educational Leadership as a means of continuing her knowledge development as integrating coaching and speech pathology into educational and medical settings to increase functional client outcomes.

Laura offers a family-friendly approach to evaluation and treatment with the goal of increasing client and family independence. She optimizes her service delivery through collaboration with Beljan Psychological Services’ neuropsychologist, psychologists, and neurocognitive behavioral and learning specialists.

Laura joyfully integrates her expertise, training and experience into each interaction. Her background as a yoga teacher also enhances functional outcomes, as she integrates teaching the related benefits of breathing, relaxation, increased self-awareness and social skills for increased self-regulation and self-advocacy.
