Alison Reuter
Alison Reuter completed her doctoral degree at Arizona State University in Counseling Psychology. During her training she specialized in health psychology and wrote her dissertation on perceptions of health and wellness among native Hawaiians. She previously earned a Master's degree in Asian Religion from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Ethics at Lake Forest College in Illinois.
In addition to pediatric neuropsychological assessment, Dr. Reuter offers therapy services for adults, adolescents and children and specializes in behavioral medicine, gifted support, depression, anxiety, and other mental issues using a strengths-based approach. Dr. Reuter has received training in Ericksonian hypnotherapy and EMDR. She also has an extensive background in the therapeutic treatment of individuals with HIV disease, and is a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Arizona Psychological Association, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology.
Dr. Reuter is a member of the Board of Directors for Aloha in the Desert,
which aims to educate school-aged children about Hawaiian history and
culture.
